Welcome to our practice

You will find our surgery near the Rock Inn, on the popular Yelverton shopping complex where there is plenty of easy to access free parking.

A warm welcome awaits all our patients from the very youngest to the young at heart in our comfortable and friendly reception area.

Your treatment will be undertaken in one of our two consulting rooms equipped with all the technical infrastructure you would expect from dentists delivering care at the highest level.

The practice has recently been extensively refurbished  with a view to meeting the  requirements of the Care Quality Commission. This has included the provision of a dedicated decontamination facility.

This decontamination facility has been designed to meet the full requirements of decontamination directive HTM-0105. It includes full instrument tracking software and hardware located in both the decontamination facility and the surgeries. An instrument washer/disinfector, vacuum autoclave and hand piece cleaner/autoclave with extensive instrument storage facilities. This level of equipment provision is similar to that found in many hospitals.

This investment reflects the importance the practice places on providing the best facilities in which to supply its patients with the most caring and advanced dentistry of both a general and specialist nature.

Radiographic facilityThe practice has installed advanced radiographic imaging facilities to allow precise treatment planning and therapy, enhancing communication with patients concerning their proposed treatment. These facilities allow images to be obtained from both within the mouth and externally to provide maximum diagnostic information.

For advanced surgical procedures such as dental implants, the radiographic equipment utilises spiral tomography and therefore produces images that measure both height and width of the jawbone. In relation to the placement of dental implants this is invaluable and until recently, such information was only available from the use of a conventional CT scan which involves a much higher radiation dosage and is not usually available within a practice setting.

Additionally this entire system is completely digital allowing for a reduction in radiation dosage (compared to conventional films,) detailed manipulation of images (enabling treatment planning and communication) and, if technically feasible, the potential to email images to referring practitioners. At the time of writing, this system is only available in about 10 other UK sites (mainly dental hospitals).

The practice provides private treatment on a pay as you go basis or the practice also offers an in house plan designed and priced by us and administered by Denplan.

Sorry - no wheel chair access

Unfortunately wheelchair access is not possible as the surgery is reached by stairs from street level.

We strongly recommend to all our patients that they attend the surgery every six months for a check-up. This check-up will normally take no more than 15 minutes and will give your dentist an opportunity to ensure that your teeth and gums remain sound and healthy.

Appointments are confirmed for patients' next examinations well in advance and normally immediately after their check-up.

Our hygienists will recommend a frequency of visits tailor made to your own needs. For more information - click here

(updated Jan 1st every year)
